Social Responsibility

CSR – Corporate Social Responsibility

I want organizations to play an active role in building a better world.

First of all by doing something good to customers. But also by engaging in society in a broader context. Charity is different from CSR. Charity is giving money or other assets to a good cause. This is good but the impact is often limited. CSR is part of the company’s mainstream business. It might be doing business with zero environmental impact or with a specific positive impact, environmentally or socially. It might also be to team up with NGOs such as Scouting to help build tomorrow’s leaders.

I had co-found the Danish National Network for CSR and The Copenhagen Centre in the 1990’s.
