As a DeTao Master of leadership and Strategy, my intention is to inspire businesses in China to move from being manufacturing operations into becoming full-blown global knowledge-based companies. A similar change happened in the 1950’s and 1960’s when the American professor William Edwards Deming worked with Japanese industry to introduce a new management concept which made Japanese companies such as Toyota world quality leaders and grew the Japanese economy to become one of the largest in the world.

Many Chinese businesses are stuck with the mindset of management which they got when Western companies established factories in China in the 1980’s and 1990’s. This mindset was fine for mass production, but unsuited for knowledge work such as research and development, marketing, communication and business development. My job is to inspire Chinese business leaders to UNBOSS their companies.
