World Scouting

The Greatest Leadership Development Program on Earth.

It is my firm belief that leadership is the key to all the major challenges on the world agenda: poverty, environment, climate, education, violence, women’s rights and peace. As I see Scouting continuously developing a new generation of leaders who share fundamental human values and who are capable of fostering change to the better, I am therefore optimistic about our future.

Scouting Lars Kolind

With 40 million young people engaged in 160 countries, Scouting is by far the most important source of leaders for tomorrow’s world.

I have been actively involved in Scouting as a boy, as a young man and as an adult. I served as chairman of the World Scout Foundation and I sit on the World Scout Committee with a particular focus on leadership development.

More specifically, how can Scouting, being  the greatest leadership development program on earth, impact the world with its unique educational methodology? Get your answer from the following video from World Scout Education Conference in Hong Kong in Nov 2013.
