I want organizations to have impact beyond just making money. In fact, I believe the best way to make money is by having a positive impact on people. As Benjamin Franklin said, “The best way to do well is by doing good.”

Purpose before profit.

The conventional company makes pumps and sells them at a profit. The UNBOSSed company helps provide clean water to the poor. If they do that really well, they of course end up making good money.

A powerful purpose shapes everything the company does – product design and manufacturing, marketing and sales, customer service, management and internal operation.
